This was our first ski trip of the year. Once again we were blessed with great weather. Saturday was so great we had to shed some layers. Saturday Brian and Steele skied and Sunday they got to snowboard. Brian had made a deal with Steele last year that he could snowboard one day. I threw in my deal that he had to take a lesson if he was going to snowboard. We did pull him out early so Brian could take him on some runs. All along I had said that I will make him ski until he is 10. After a day of snowboarding, and Brian, I know I will lose this battle. He will thank me later that I made him become a great a skier when he has to take his kids and grand kids. It was cute to hear the dads saying "I'm to old to board" to their teenagers. Brian realized he better get his butt in shape. We were thinking that we would go just once this year, but I am already looking for ways to budget in another trip this year.

The Inaugural Pahrump Family/Friends Holiday Flag Football Extravaganza!!

We all had an exciting and fun time playing and eating bar-b-que!! I hope that I'm not the only one who is extremely sore after this fun day!! It got a bit heated up at times as Gunnar and Steele forgot they weren't playing tackle football!! No serious injuries reported except my pulled hammy, glutes, back, arms, neck, and everything else!!!! Thanks to all who participated and we can't wait to do it again!!! I wish more than two pictures were taken by the camera woman!!! Everyone had at least one fantastic moment!!!!!!!!!

Steele was so excited to have his cousins in town for Christmas this year. He had not been sleeping very well this week due to the excitement of the boys and Christmas Day. Santa was nice enough to make a special trip so all the family could celebrate together. The theme this year was sports. It was more like a Denver Broncos Christmas. Everything involved was football and Denver Broncos related. Steele was really jazzed about the Axe body wash in his stocking and the Axe hair kit that all the boys received. I guess it made him feel like one of the guys. Grandma was also surprised by the puppy. All week she talked about him and grandpa gave in so add one more to the pack of dogs. She had a great week...new vehicle and new puppy. It was a great day for everyone. Merry Christmas!!!

Santa

I had told Steele that we needed to go to Star Nursery to get some fertilizer for the grass. This is usually one of his favorite places to go, but this morning he wanted no part of it. He had every excuse for not going. The complaints kept rolling as we made our trip. I knew Santa would be there, but I had not told Steele about it. He was pleasantly surprised when we entered Star to see Santa walking around. Steele became so shy he could not think of one thing to ask for. The excitement was short lived. Checking out the different types of dirt and rock was much more appealing. That's a boy I guess.
