FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

The Sharks got to experience what it really feels like to be a high school football player. The Sharks and the Rush were recognized by the PVHS Trojan football team Friday night. Steele was so excited to run the tunnel with the varsity football. The Sharks also got to show off their skills in an intersquad scrimmage exhibition game. You can't tell much by the pictures, but Steele is on defense (left of screen) closest in the picture otherwise known as outside line backer. Gunnar is on offense (rt side) closest to camera with gray long sleeves. It was a fun night for all.

FALL FESTIVAL 2009

We had a great time at the Fall Festival and Carnival this year. Steele had a great time on the rides and seeing some of his friends from school. It is so cute to see the joy they get when they see their friends from school. They become so independent when they have their friends with them. I had been looking forward to having a funnel cake all week. The small things in life we get enjoyment from. Sad to say, I enjoyed the fries better. The funnel cake needed just a bit more sugar. On Saturday we are going back for some BBQ. Good thing carnival food comes around once a year.

We have also enjoyed a couple of outings at a local monthly bull riding event. It is a blast as the spectators back their truck up around the arena to watch the bull riding. Steele entered the "cowpie" eating contest and won. He gave us a scare as he started choking on the pastry he had stuffed in his mouth. We rushed in the arena ready to start abdominal thrust as he swallowed and was proclaimed the winner. WHEW!!!!! He was so proud of himself for winning. We were just glad he was breathing.

Football season has started as well, and he and his best buddy Gunnar have really taken a liking to it! The coaches like his "go get him" attitude and the effort he puts forth in his role on defense. He really is a great tackler. Janci is the most vocal and enthusiastic parent out there. She is working on calming down and just staying in her seat with her mouth shut. Good luck haha!! It is just so exciting to watch the kids doing so well on the field and coming together as a team.
